Meet the Team
Meet the Team that makes everything at Kilgarrin Lowchen and Quarter Horses possible.
Devon Bennett
Handler, Breeder, Judge
BA, GradCertSpecIncEd, MTeach, Deakin, ANKC, AQHA, VIT
Master of Education (Leadership and Learning) candidate
Devon has grown up with Lowchen around her. When she started exhibiting in 2002 it was with her Rough Collie, Ch Tonacco All Fired Up, who went back to her mother's collie lines from the 70's.
In her late teens she had the opportunity to show a Lowchen and this eventually became her primary breed. Now she only owns Lowchen.
In her 20's she pursued judging, though had to place this on hold due to family commitments. She looks forward to taking up judging again in the near future. Devon has had the opportunity to show across all the ANKC groups both as a junior handler, and as an adult.
Dean
Junior Handler, Assistant Groomer
Dean has been raised in and around dogs shows, specifically group 1 and Lowchen. He has started his handling journey with Chilli at 10 years old. Dean is now learning about dog grooming and is an important part of socialising puppies.
When Dean isn't showing, he is gaming, playing trumpet or hockey, and enjoying farm life.
Alex
Junior Handler, Puppy Wrangler
Alex has been raised around our beloved Lowchen, however has only just started attending shows due to Covid and family commitments.
She is looking forward to entering the ring with Possum after her birthday!
When Alex isn't at shows she likes riding her bike, riding her pony, playing with puppies and helping Mum groom dogs, playing games, hockey, and practicing keyboard.
